Grain Craft, the largest independent wheat flour miller in the United States, has officially completed its acquisition of the North American dry corn milling assets from Bunge. The transaction, initially announced in April, marks a significant expansion of Grain Craft’s capabilities and product portfolio, reinforcing its position as a key player in the grain-based food ingredients sector.
The acquisition brings approximately 600 new team members into the Grain Craft organization and includes six milling facilities—three dry corn milling plants located in Crete, Nebraska; Atchison, Kansas; and Danville, Illinois, as well as three dry masa facilities in Muleshoe, Texas; Red Oak, Iowa; and Worthington, Indiana. Additionally, the transaction includes a transload and packaging facility in Querétaro, Mexico, and a distribution warehouse in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
“After months of anticipation and preparation, we are excited to officially welcome our new Corn Milling team members to the Grain Craft family,” said Pete Frederick, President and CEO of Grain Craft. “We are looking forward to adding the experience and knowledge of this business to Grain Craft as we enter into providing an even broader spectrum of food ingredients for our customers.”
This strategic move signifies Grain Craft’s entry into the corn milling segment, expanding beyond its core wheat flour operations to offer a wider variety of food ingredient solutions. The integration of Bunge’s corn milling assets enhances the company’s operational footprint, customer reach, and ability to serve a growing and diverse market.
The acquisition officially closed today, July 1, 2025, and Grain Craft will begin the process of integrating the new operations into its broader business structure, focusing on continuity, collaboration, and delivering value to its customers and partners.
