The German Pet Food Association (DVT) has announced a change in its board leadership following its 25th annual conference in Berlin. Lukas Middendorf of MIAVIT GmbH, Essen (Oldenburg), has been elected to the board, succeeding Dr Antje Eckel of Dr Eckel Animal Nutrition, Niederzissen, who has stepped down after more than 17 years of dedicated service.
In addition to his new board position, Middendorf will assume responsibility as co-head of the Additives Expert Group, alongside Doris Pulte (Pulte, Rimsting) and Dr Mario Müller (Evonik Operations, Hanau).
During the conference, DVT President Cord Schiplage expressed deep appreciation for Dr Eckel’s longstanding commitment to the association, recognizing her valuable contributions to both the board and various committees over nearly two decades.
Middendorf, unanimously elected as her successor, brings extensive expertise in animal nutrition and is expected to play a key role in further strengthening the Additives Expert Group and supporting DVT’s strategic objectives.
