Illinois Soybean Association Reshapes Board Leadership

The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) has announced its newly elected board leadership following its annual public meeting held on July 29 in Champaign, Illinois.

Bryan Severs was re-elected as Chairman of the Illinois Soybean Association. A third-generation farmer from Vermillion County, Severs grows corn and soybeans and raises cattle with his family. He has served as ISA's District 7 Director since 2020 and has previously held the positions of Treasurer and Chairman of the Soybean Production Committee. In addition to his responsibilities at ISA, Severs currently serves as Chairman of the U.S. Identity Preserved Alliance (USIPA) and as a Director of the American Soybean Association (ASA).

The association also elected the remaining members of its executive committee. Brady Holst was elected Vice Chairman, Rob Shaffer Treasurer, Scott Gaffner Secretary, and Emily Lovelady Assistant Treasurer-Secretary.

District directors elected during the meeting include Ryan Frieders (District 1), Brad Zimmerman (District 5), Bryan Severs (District 7), Doug Martin (District 9), Jonathan Griffel (District 12), and Heath Houck (District 13).

Brady Holst, Jeff O'Connor and Lance Tarochione were elected as At-Large Directors.

Separately, during the Illinois Soybean Board meeting held in June 2026, Tim Scates was elected District 16 Director, while Trent Maxwell was elected District 14 Director.
