The Board of Directors of COFCO International, the overseas agriculture business platform of COFCO Group, has announced the appointment of Mr. Xu Guanghong as the company’s new Chairman. He succeeds Mr. Luan Richeng, who previously held the position.
Mr. Xu currently serves as Vice President of COFCO Group, and brings with him more than 30 years of leadership experience within the organization. Throughout his distinguished career, he has played a pivotal role in the Group’s operational and strategic development, contributing significantly to COFCO’s growth and global positioning in the agri-business sector.
A graduate of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Mr. Xu holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, equipping him with a solid academic foundation to support his extensive professional expertise.
The appointment marks a new chapter for COFCO International as the company continues to strengthen its position in global agricultural markets.
COFCO International operates in more than 35 countries and is a key player in global grain, oilseed, and soft commodities trading and processing.
