Ukrainian farmers have made significant progress in the 2025 harvesting campaign, collecting more than 7.2 million tonnes of early grains and pulses as of July 18, according to official data released by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Harvesting activities have been carried out across 2.36 million hectares, with three major crops—wheat, barley, and peas—contributing the majority of the yield so far.
Key Crop Figures:
Wheat: Harvested from 1.50 million hectares, yielding 4.67 million tonnes.
Barley: Harvested from 660,600 hectares, yielding 2.18 million tonnes.
Peas: Harvested from 170,800 hectares, yielding 362,900 tonnes.
Regional Leaders in Harvest Volume:
Odesa Region: 722,100 hectares harvested, producing 2.02 million tonnes.
Mykolaiv Region: 488,700 hectares harvested, producing 1.17 million tonnes.
Kirovohrad Region: 238,600 hectares harvested, producing 963,000 tonnes.
In addition to grains and pulses, the rapeseed harvest is underway in fourteen regions. As of mid-July, 614,100 tonnes of rapeseed have been harvested from 360,300 hectares.
The Ministry noted that harvesting conditions have remained favorable across much of the country, allowing farmers to maintain a steady pace in fieldwork. These figures underline the resilience and productivity of Ukraine’s agricultural sector amid ongoing challenges, and they reaffirm the country’s role as a key player in global grain and oilseed markets.
The harvesting campaign will continue in the coming weeks, with further updates expected as additional regions report their yields.
