Ukrainian farmers have harvested a total of 15.47 million tons of early grain and leguminous crops, according to official data. The harvest has been completed on 4,423.9 thousand hectares, accounting for 39% of the total area sown with these crops across the country.
The breakdown of the harvest reveals that wheat remains the dominant crop, with 3,054.2 thousand hectares already threshed and yielding 11,357.8 thousand tons. Barley was harvested from 1,014.8 thousand hectares, producing 3,572.8 thousand tons, while peas were harvested on 208.2 thousand hectares, yielding 492.2 thousand tons.
In addition to these major crops, other grains and legumes were threshed on an area of 145.5 thousand hectares, resulting in a harvest of 50.4 thousand tons.
Several regions have emerged as leaders in this year's harvest campaign. The Odesa region has recorded the highest volume so far, with 1,070.4 thousand hectares threshed and a total yield of 3,089.1 thousand tons. The Kirovohrad region followed with 462.9 thousand hectares harvested and 1,927.5 thousand tons collected. In the Poltava region, 344.7 thousand hectares have been threshed, resulting in 1,519.8 thousand tons of production.
In southern Ukraine, farmers in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions have begun harvesting millet, with 83 tons threshed from an area of 1.2 thousand hectares.
Additionally, the rapeseed harvest has reached significant volumes, with 1,761.5 thousand tons collected from 781.9 thousand hectares across the country.
The harvesting campaign continues across Ukraine, with further updates expected as farmers progress through the remaining 61% of sown areas.
