The Turkish Grain Board (TMO), an affiliate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, has announced the 2025 season purchase price for corn at 11,300 Turkish lira (appr. 282 USD) per ton.
Harvesting of corn began locally in early August in Adana and Hatay, with approximately 5 percent of the crop collected nationwide so far.
In addition to the base purchase price, producers will benefit from several forms of government support. Under the new support model, previously applied fuel and fertilizer subsidies will now be provided as "basic support" and "planned production support," in line with production planning policies. Farmers using certified domestic seeds will also receive an additional "production development support."
Taking these supports into account, growers will receive an additional average of 668 lira per ton. This means that with subsidies included, producers will effectively earn a total of 11,968 lira (appr. 299 USD) per ton of corn delivered.
Payments for products purchased by TMO will be deposited into farmers’ bank accounts within 30 days of delivery.
