İmaş Completes a 10-Tonnes-per-Hour Feed Mill in Zimbabwe

Imaş, a Turkey-based manufacturer of feed and grain processing technologies, has completed a turnkey feed mill project with a capacity of 10 tonnes per hour for Agri-Milling Stockfeeds in Zimbabwe. The facility was commissioned at a ceremony held on 5 August 2026, with Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa in attendance.

Agri-Milling, which operates under Davipel Holdings, established its new feed mill as part of the company’s expansion of its agricultural processing activities in Zimbabwe. Imaş’s responsibilities for the project were not limited to the supply of machinery; the project also encompassed process engineering, machinery manufacturing, plant installation, and the design and construction of the steel structure.

The facility, with a production capacity of 10 tonnes per hour, was designed to produce feed for various livestock segments. Agri-Milling’s product portfolio includes feed for village chickens, broiler chickens, laying hens, pigs, rabbits, beef cattle and dairy cattle.

From Machinery to Turnkey Plant

One of the key aspects of İmaş’s role in the project was the implementation of a plant solution encompassing the entire feed production process. As part of the project, İmaş designed, manufactured and constructed not only the machinery and process equipment but also the plant’s steel-framed building, thereby managing the various technical stages of the investment within a single project.

This approach highlights the importance of addressing not only equipment supply but also process design, plant infrastructure, automation and commissioning processes collectively in feed mills.

Centralised Automation System

The production processes at the new plant are controlled via a centralised automation system. The process, spanning from raw material reception to the packaging of the final product, can be monitored via the centralised system.

The automation infrastructure enables real-time monitoring of operational data such as production volume, consumption and efficiency. Another feature of the system is remote technical access support. Imaş’s after-sales technical team can connect to the facility remotely when necessary to carry out monitoring, troubleshooting and technical support tasks.

The project is one of the applications that highlights Imaş’s activities in the field of feed processing technologies, alongside its grain milling operations. The company develops systems tailored to different feed production processes for poultry, cattle, sheep and fish, whilst also offering solutions covering powdered feed, pelletising, flaking and extrusion applications.
