2025 Planting Strategy
Ukraine plans to sow a total of 5.7 million hectares of spring grains and pulses this year, matching last year’s figures. A notable shift in the crop structure is the 28% increase in spring wheat area, expected to reach 222,800 hectares, driven by strong demand from millers and exporters.
Farmers remain focused on maintaining stable production despite ongoing challenges, ensuring food security and export potential. The progress in early sowing indicates a strong start to the agricultural season, with further updates expected as fieldwork expands.
