New OSU variety is the heavyweight champion of wheat
Bunge has resumed the production and commercialization of its traditional Rosa Branca wheat flour in Brazil’s South region, strengthening its footprint in one of the country’s key wheat-consuming markets.
The brand, which joined Bunge’s portfolio following the business combination with Viterra in July 2025, had not been produced in the region since 2022. Production has now restarted at Bunge’s milling facility in Ponta Grossa, Paraná, from where Rosa Branca flour will be distributed to major supermarket, distributor and wholesale chains across Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
The move supports Bunge’s strategy to enhance operational efficiency and capture synergies within its expanded milling network. The traditional Rosa Branca flour is available in 1 kg and 5 kg paper packaging, targeting both retail and wholesale channels. Known for its versatility and consistent performance, the brand caters to everyday baking as well as more elaborate culinary applications.
“As Brazil’s largest wheat processor, Bunge is well positioned to expand the reach of Rosa Branca nationwide,” said Fernanda Louvise, Chief Marketing Officer at Bunge, highlighting the company’s focus on quality, scale and consumer choice.
In 2025, Bunge marked 120 years of operations in Brazil and remains a leading supplier of wheat flour and food ingredients to the industrial, foodservice and consumer markets.
