The new facility established by Alapala in West Africa has drawn attention to the region's flour production infrastructure. Alapala has expanded its presence in the region with a completed project in Mali.
The project involves a flour mill established in Mali with a daily production capacity of 300 tonnes. It is stated that the facility was planned to meet the growing demand for flour in the local market and was designed in line with operational continuity and efficiency targets.
The investment includes not only the milling line but also significant storage infrastructure. Six steel silos, each with a capacity of 2,500 tonnes, were supplied for the project to ensure the safe storage of both raw materials and finished products. It is noted that the total storage capacity provides flexibility in production planning and facilitates supply chain management.
The construction and structural implementation of the facility was carried out by ACCON, a steel construction and EPC company operating within the Alapala Holding. This structure ensured that the engineering, construction, and equipment procurement processes progressed under a single coordination.
Officials report that the project was approached with a turnkey approach and that modern milling technologies were adapted and implemented in line with regional needs. With the facility becoming operational, it is expected to contribute to increased local production capacity, employment, and food supply security.
West Africa stands out as a strategic region for flour and grain processing investments due to its growing population and increasing food demand. The completed facility in Mali is considered one of the latest examples of ongoing investments in the development of industrial infrastructure in the region.
