The JTIC is celebrating its 76th anniversary in 2026, marking more than seven decades of technical exchange and professional engagement within the industry.
The event traces its origins back to 1949, shortly after the end of the Second World War, when the first technical conference days were organised. At the time, the initiative represented a new approach to bringing industry professionals together for technical discussions and knowledge exchange.
Following the success of the initial conferences, the event gradually evolved. In 1970, the first exhibition featuring suppliers was introduced, adding a dedicated showcase dimension to the technical programme. In the years that followed, JTIC was held annually at major hotels in Paris.
From the 2000s onwards, the event expanded beyond the traditional hotel format and moved to convention centres in different cities, providing additional space for exhibitors and their stands. Between 2008 and 2015, the event reached a particularly prominent period during its time in Reims.
Over the course of 76 years, JTIC has developed from a technical conference initiative into an established annual meeting point combining technical exchange and industry exhibition activities.
