Deadline Extended for AgriStability Program to Support Manitoba Farmers

The governments of Canada and Manitoba, along with other provincial and territorial partners, have announced an extension to the enrolment deadline for the 2025 AgriStability program to July 31, 2025. The decision comes in response to ongoing market disruptions, including trade tariffs affecting the agriculture sector, giving producers more time to assess their needs and enroll in the program.

AgriStability, a key business risk management program under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (SCAP), provides financial support to farmers when they face significant declines in income due to market volatility or other challenges. The original deadline of April 30, 2025, has now been pushed back to allow producers additional flexibility as they navigate current economic pressures.

The AgriStability program is designed to stabilize farm incomes by compensating for large margin losses, helping producers maintain financial stability in uncertain times. Farmers are urged to review their eligibility and consider enrolling before the new deadline.
